Night Ride
It may sound treacherous but with the proper equipment and some common sense, a night ride could be the most fun you've had on your bike in quite a while. The dark adds a whole new dimension to the off road experience.  There are new sights, like deer bedding down for the night; new sounds, like the hoot of an owl; and new smells, like the damp evening air. Until you are used to your field of vision being dependent on your light beam, the ride will be slower but more technical.  Picking a line becomes more of a challenge on all but your most well-known trails. Do some research and choose your lights carefully.  Wattage and battery life are critical.  And remember, once the sun goes down the temperature drops.  Dress appropriately.
